Rent's Settlement

For a lovely stay, some important information…

1. Arrival

Our representative in El Gouna will be happy to welcome you on site and to give you any important piece of information about your stay. He will take care of the check-in and check-out process.

Checkin and checkout procedure are obligatory!

2. Transportation from the airport

Taxis are waiting in front of the Airport. They ask normally around €30 for a transfert. In Elgouna, call the Central office (Nr ‘0’) and ask for taxi service.

3. No Pet

Due to the too much damage we have suffered, we no longer allow pets in our apartment.

4. Non-smoking apartment

It isn’t allowed to smoke in the apartment. However, smokers are welcome on the balcony, as long as they make sure that the smoke doesn’t get inside the apartment through the window or the door.

The apartment is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors so smoking inside or smoke entering the apartment will trigger the alarm. If this happens, a fine of €150 will be collected for compensation for the disruption which was caused.

5. Available bed and bathroom linen

Bed linen, bathroom linen, and kitchen towels will be at your disposal. We thank you in advice to keep everything in the apartment and not to use the bathroom linen as beach towels.

You also have the possibility to rent beach towels for the price of €5/week per towel, which you will need to pay during check-in.

6. Cleaning

The apartment will be cleaned, however the process will be different from the room service you find in hotels.

Cleaning will include changing bed and bathroom linens, cleaning the bathroom and toilet as well as all of the available surfaces and available equipment (cooker, toaster, oven, …). 

We kindly ask you to do your own washing-up, to take out the trash, to empty the ashtray on the balcony and to take out glass recycling before your check-out. You will find a rubbish container outside of the apartment building.

If you’ve brought your own grill, it is your responsibility to take it with your upon departure and to clean up the spot where it was used.

7. Broken equipment

Life happens, damage may occur. We warmly thank you to inform our representative in case any equipment is damaged or broken during your stay. He will take care of replacing or repairing it. The costs related to this repair or replacement will be charged to you.

If you happen to lose the key to the apartment, we’ll need to change the lock which will cost €60 (unfortunately, the necessary equipment to do so cannot be found in El Gouna and must be bought in Hurghada or Cairo).

8. No payment, no apartment

In a few exceptional cases, we do accept a cash payment to rent the apartment. This payment must be done during check-in at the latest.

Our representative on site won’t give you the key if the bill isn’t completely paid.

9. Terms and conditions pertaining to cancellations

In case of cancellation, the following terms and conditions will be applied:

  1. More than 2 weeks before check-in: you will be completely reimbursed.

  2. Two weeks before check-in: you will be reimbursed up to 50% of rent and cleaning fees. Taxes must still be paid in their entirety.

One week prior to check-in: no reimbursement possible.
